Situated in Gaeltact na nDéise, Co.Waterford fifteen minutes from Dungarvan and twenty five minutes from Youghal. We are small scale hobby breeder of bantam and large fowl chickens, we currently have over 10 breeds of chickens and the number seems to be growing all the time!!  Silver Dutch Hen. |
I started keeping hens in 2004, I started with 4 red hybrids and they became quite addictive so I decided to get an incubator and hatch some pure breeds! And from there the hobby grew. You can view more information on the breeds I keep on the "breeds" page. I am also a member of the "Irish Society of Poultry Fanciers" and regularly show my birds. The flock is also registered with the Department of Agriculture and Food. In season I have beautiful pure breed hens and cockerels, from chicks to Point of Lay, for sale.(which can be found on the "for sale" page). We will only sell the best quality birds that we have available, and only breed from the best quality birds. We also have hatching eggs available in season which can be posted anywhere in Ireland. Keeping chickens is enjoyable, fun and relaxing. They make productive pets and are ideal for children. In addition to providing a fresh source of eggs, they also produce excellent manure for the garden. What more do you want from a pet?
